Hi, I’m Sandy!

Hi, I’m Sandy!

Blogger. Teacher. Entrepreneur.

Welcome

Teach Me Sandy is a space where creativity thrives and ideas come alive. I’m Sandy, the creator behind this digital haven. I’m currently completing my clinical fellowship in speech language pathology, a field that I am deeply passionate about. But there’s so much more to me that meets the eye!

A passionate journey

My path to blogging has been quite an adventure. Initially, I set my sights on becoming an elementary education teacher, only to discover it wasn’t the right fit for me. An encounter with a career counselor led me to the world of speech-language pathology, and I embraced it with open arms. During my undergraduate years as a communication sciences and disorders student, I faced challenges that tested my mental strength and resilience. After deciding to take a gap year was for me before pursuing my master’s degree, I embarked on a plan to teach abroad, only to have it derailed bythe novel coronavirus. However, this unexpected turn led me to the vast and endless opportunities of online teaching. Now I’m eager to share my experiences and knowledge with fellow educators and scholars empowering them to build their online businesses, take the next steps to pursue a new career, and reignite their passion for education.

What to expect

Here at Teach Me Sandy, I dive into a broad range of topics while embracing their unique and unconventional aspects. Whether you’re interested in education, speech-language pathology, travel, business, graduate school, or marketing, you’ll find thought-provoking content that challenges conventional wisdom and sparks your curiosity and dedication to lifelong learning and teaching. Thoughtful represents my contrarian mindset, constantly questioning the established systems and beliefs in my life. Through this blog, I aim to foster critical thinking and challenge the status quo.

The Full Picture

Remember, we are all multi-dimensional beings. While I’m an online teacher, speech language pathologist, and blogger, my interests and hobbies extend far beyond those roles. Gaming is a big part of my life, whether it’s on my Switch, laptop, or Xbox. You’ll often find me, exploring new adventures, with music as my constant companion. I’m always on the lookout for the next great concert. Curating playlists is a creative outlet for me, as I love matching music to moods, scents, and vibes. Staying active is also essential and I dedicate myself to strength training, hiking, rock climbing, longboarding, dancing, and roller skating. I find joy in moving my body and embracing a healthy and active lifestyle.

I’m thrilled to have you join me on this multifaceted journey. Let’s explore, question, and inspire together!
